Stories News 2016 11 26 1THE Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) and the United States Agency for International Development for the Eastern and Southern Caribbean (USAID)/ESC launched the Climate Change Adaptation Programme (CCAP) last week at the CCCCC’s headquarters in Belmopan, Belize.


The CCAP, which will be implemented by the CCCCC, commits US$25.6 million over four years to boost climate-resilient development and reduce climate change-induced risks to human and natural assets in 10 countries.

President David Granger of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and Minister of Climate and Environment Vidar Helgesen of the Kingdom of Norway met yesterday on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Convention in Marrakesh, Morocco, for a very constructive dialogue on the way forward for their forest and climate partnership.

Marrakesh, Morocco – (November 17, 2016) President David Granger said today, following a meeting with the Executive Director of the United Nations Environmental Programme, Mr. Erik Solheim that the engagement has served to intensify the agency’s relationship with Guyana and concretises the commitments have already been made.
